In a triumphant celebration marking 15 years of service, Equality for Growth reflects on its impactful journey empowering women in Tanzania’s informal sector. Since its inception in 2008, EfG has been a beacon of hope for countless women, tirelessly working towards giving them a voice, visibility, and the rights they fully deserve.
Alongside our esteemed Director, Jane Magigita, the anniversary event received significant support from representatives of diverse organizations. Notable figures such as McDonald Maganga from NSSF, Edna Chilimo from the Foundation of Civil Society, Anna Kulaya from CWDF, and Halima Omary from NMB took the stage, sharing words of encouragement and shedding light on the valuable contributions each organization makes to bolster EfG’s mission.
Their presence underscored a collective commitment to advancing the cause and highlighted the collaborative spirit that fuels EfG’s work.
Here’s to 15 years of resilience, advocacy, and progress—a testament to EfG’s dedication to creating a more equitable and empowered society for Tanzania’s informal sector women. The journey continues, fueled by the belief that every woman deserves the opportunity to thrive, unburdened by the constraints of her circumstances.
